Quick update, I've decided I'm not going to spend too much time doing the backgrounds for Windows 8 Errors. Backgrounds are the 1 thing I hate doing and I honestly cannot be bothered to do them. So I'm making the Login screen a plain coloured background and I'm most likely going to do the same for the Desktop. This means less good-looking visuals, but I want to get this project off my back as soon as possible.

I haven't been working on it recently due to college work, but I'm getting around to it.

So as you're all aware, Windows 8 Errors still isn't out yet. Let me explain why...

You probably all know what my plan was: I was going to finish College, continue making Windows 8 Errors and hopefully get it done by the end of the summer. This WAS my actual plan, I wasn't lying, I genuinely wanted to do that.

However, when College finally did end and I continued making Windows 8 Errors, I grew completely disinterested in making it. I drew a few lines for one of the backgrounds and closed Flash down. I wasn't having fun making it.

So for the rest of the summer, I tried bringing myself to a point where I could work on it, but it didn't work and I ignored it for most of the summer.

So...what happens now?

I'm not giving up yet. I did promise about a year ago that I would make Windows 8 Errors, and I'm not breaking that promise. I just don't want to work on it right now, and I can't force myself to work on it otherwise I'll get bored really quickly and submit something that doesn't show off what I want Windows 8 Errors to be.

I'll try to work on Windows 8 Errors in the background when College starts, but I'm not guaranteeing anything will come soon.

If any of you hate me now, I don't blame you, I've said time and time again that I'll be releasing Windows 8 Errors and I've always been wrong. So...you have the right to be mad at me.

So I've been working on Windows 8 Errors throughout the summer, and it's been pretty tough if I'm honest, trying to run a YouTube Channel at the same time as well as working on a game that may take a couple of months to finish isn't easy, and I've not been very pleased with my results.

I was originally doing the bootup sequence, I don't know if it is accurate to that of Windows 8's bootup sequence since I've barely used Windows 8, but all I've done something that I'm feeling okay with. It does need some polishing, but I'm going to get back to that.

My main problem right now is the logon screen, I've been experimenting with different backgrounds, and I've been feeling rather unhappy with most of them. However I have found one with a white flower that apparently comes standard with most versions of Windows 8, so I'm currently tracing over that.

What I'm going to do after that is make some small changes to the bootup sequence, and then I'm going to move onto coding the logon screen, adding buttons etc.

So uh...yeah, that's all for now.

I figured that since I've aged up a bit and had a different online nickname over the last year, I would change my Newgrounds name to match that. I am no longer Madjasper1, but I am now TheMadWasp.

Friggen' finally! I've finished my last official day at College and I'm on a nice 2 month summer break!

WINDOWS 8 ERRORS PRODUCTION HAS GONE FULL THROTTLE!

I will be working on Windows 8 Errors nearly every single day to make sure that I can release it before August. No guarantees, it is going to be HUGE compared to the other games in the series, but I think I can do it!

I'm sorry to all of the people who follow me on Newgrounds, I've been a complete jerk recently, saying that I hated making Windows 8 Errors and that I wanted it to stop. I feel like that was not the right thing to say. I'm not enjoying developing this game, but I don't hate it either. I just want to move on to other projects and this one is seriously time consuming.

I had a news post up here about a week or two ago where I came across as angry and uncaring, it's my fault though, I've had a tonne of work at College that I've been struggling to keep up with over these last couple of months, plus my dad wasn't here, so I had no one to really talk to, I do have my mum I can talk to, but she's been feeling like shit for the past 2 years and I don't want to worry her.

Again, I apologise to everyone who was hurt by what I said. I deleted that news post last week.

On the bright side, I only have this week and then next week of College and then I'm done for the year. Then I can put all of my time into Windows 8 Errors and hopefully finish it in July or August.

So I recently started remaking my old Black Circle Dude animation, and today I've put in about 2 hours of work into it, so it's going pretty well.

I just thought I should let you people know since it's something that I may end up releasing sooner than I thought.

If you're wondering, no I'm not very far into making it. I've only done about 18 seconds worth of animation and the total length may be about 3-5 minutes.

But I'm enjoying myself and I feel like this may be something you people can enjoy.

Don't worry, Windows 8 Errors is still going to be made.

So I have some good news, it turns out that I will have a short break from College in about 2 weeks time, so I can dedicate some of that time to Windows 8 Errors. I won't be able to finish the game in that time since there is a lot of detail I want to add, but I can still get some progress done. I also will not dedicate ALL of my holiday time to the game because the chances are I'll have to finish up on some essays within that time. I'll also probably be seeing my Dad as well so I'll need to spend some time with him because he's been away for over a month.

HOWEVER, if you want to help me with the game, you can. As I've said previously I would like to showcase some error ideas that YOU guys have. So if you have an idea for an error, simply make it in this error generator, save the image that comes out of it and send it to my e-mail (MadWasp01@googlemail.com). I will go through the ones I find the funniest and add those in.

However, if you send me errors, I will not count them towards the 100 errors limit that I set myself. I will be making 100 errors and any ones that YOU guys will be bonus errors that will appear after my errors.

So I understand that it's been a long time since the previous error game, but I am definitely still working on Windows 8 Errors. I have been for the past month or so, but my personal life has been getting in the way a bit.

But the truth is, I don't really want to make Windows 8 Errors. The only reason I am is because I said I would, and in the past I've announced games or animations that were going to come out, but never did because I just gave up. Another reason that I'm still choosing to work on Windows 8 Errors is because I have been getting requests for it since Windows Vista Errors, and it really amazes me how many people enjoyed my previous games to the point where they want a 6th game.

I appreciate all of the requests and reviews, you have no idea. I never thought I could entertain over 120 people, although to be honest, it's probably more than that because I have over 90'000 overall views on Windows Vista Errors (according to the NG Project System)

But, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Windows 8 Errors will be the last game in the Errors series. I have been asked by someone to make a Mac version, but I very much doubt I'll do that. I really am tired of making these games.

Windows Vista Errors was actually quite a big effort despite how small it looks. But even then when I was nearing the end of the project, I just wanted to stop because I was fed up with looking at the same project over and over again.

The thing is, I originally just wanted the Errors series to be just the slideshow of errors and nothing else, but because that was frowned upon by a few users, I decided to go with the whole 'making it into a virtual desktop' thing instead.

Now don't get me wrong, I had actually wanted to do a Virtual PC game like a lot of users on NG have done, I've even gone back to some of my older news posts and seen that I was making a really big-looking Windows XP Simulator, (that project is gone now though because since then I've gotten a new computer and lost the file) but if I recall, I was only going to make one and stop there. I've currently made 3 of them and have a 4th one in the works.

So yeah, I'm not saying that I hate anyone who wants Windows 8 Errors. I'm glad that people want to see another "game" from me. But the truth is I am just fed up with making it. It takes alot of time, and especially since I'm trying to keep up with my college work and support my hobby at the same time.

However, don't worry, it is coming. All I ask for is a little bit of patience.

QUESTION: When will Windows 8 Errors come out?

ANSWER: Well here is the thing, since I have a lot of college work to do over the next few weeks, I'm taking a small break from Flash altogether. However, when College ends (in about 7-8 weeks) I'll be on my summer break and then I'll dedicate all the time that I have to the game. I may do a small amount here and there before summer break, but it won't be a lot of progress. So basically, the game may come out in June or August. If I'm very unlucky then it will be released in September, but I highly doubt that that will happpen.

QUESTION: What features will be included in Windows 8 Errors?

ANSWER: I have a list on a previous blog post I made, you can check it out here. I may update it if I come up with any more features, but at the moment, that's all I have planned.

ANSWER: No. As I said above, Windows 8 Errors will be the last game. I really just want to finish this series off.

When I'm older and I look back on my series, I may decide to one of those as a sort of throwback, but I very much doubt I will.

QUESTION: What are you doing after you finish Windows 8 Errors?

ANSWER: Well I have a couple of ideas. I really want to remake my old Black Circle Dude animation and see if I can make that into a series. I also want to try and remake my old T.I.S series as well. I have an idea for that to turn into something a lot better than what it was.

Also, I really want to make some other animations like a Animator VS Animation Tribute because Alan Becker was the guy who really got me into Flash in the first place.
